This inaugural event is shaping up to be something great! The Pegasus field will be open to any AMA member and the general public is also invited to fly on one of our trainers using a safe training system. Flight time costs a mere $1 per minute and will go directly to the John R. Marsh Center's Patient Assistance Fund.

The John R. Marsh Cancer Center wants their patients to focus on getting well, not on the expense of their treatment. Assistance can often be found for medical bills, but their other needs, like prescription drugs, durable medical goods and many others are not as easily solved. The Patient Assistance Fund helps to fill in that gap.

A wide array of demonstrations will be happening from IMAC, freestyle, combat and turbines and or course, night flying! There will be activities for the kids and food vendors will also be on hand.

Sign up forms will be available very soon. Keep checking our website for updates!!
Looking forward to this one. Already gave facebook and friends at work the word I will be looking for sponsors.
Day one of asking for sponsorships and I've gotten 90 minutes! Let me know if you want forms. I have them ready, just not on the website quite yet.
The forms for the Flight for Cancer are on the website! Download your sponsorship forms and start lining up your sponsors! There will be a significant prize for the most money raised (details coming soon)!! I've already collected for 2 full hours of flight time, almost halfway to my goal!

Also, please download the flier for the event and post it where ever you can! Put it on the bulletin board at work, church or school! E-mail it to family and friends! The bigger we can make the first event, the bigger and better next year's will be!
We are at just under 3 weeks away from the Flight for Cancer! The prize and raffle list continue to grow as does MY list of sponsors! I am approaching the 400 minute mark eclipsing my goal of 300! I hope to be able to add several items to the raffle as well this week. And, please don't forget to get those flyers out to everyone you can!
I only have two sponsors so farSad On the upside they are both down for $100. Looks like I will need to get more airtime than I ever have in one day.Smile
Awesome! That's a darn good average!
We are less than one week away from THE Event! The total value of all the pilot prizes and raffle items is WELL over $2,000! Many, many thanks to our sponsors! Get your sponsorship sheets filled out, get your fleet in good working order, make sure you have lots of fuel (or batteries!) and come out and enjoy a great day of flying and fellowship!
We are down to 24 hours! Make your last minute repairs and tweaks, have your sunscreen handy and get a good night's sleep! See everyone tomorrow!
well done and good flying.
My thanks to everyone who made the Pegasus First Annual Flight for Cancer a resounding success! We had 20 registered pilots and flew at least 11 people on the buddy box, most of them on the club Alpha that Paul, Hoot, George and Andy work tirelessly on to get back into flying shape since it's recovery! We had an awesome range of aircraft, from jets to 42% extras clear down to micro planes and helis both flying and on display. Several hundred spectators came and watched the show and the pilots had a great, safe day. The pilots were sponsored for a total of a staggering total of 3,571 minutes or nearly 2 and a half full days of flying! The total for the day was $4,425 that will be donated to the John R. Marsh Cancer Center's Patient Assistance Fund. Well done, everyone involved!! Now, we have our work cut out to top it for next year!!
